In 1972, Frank Kessler and business partner Joe Wright founded Real Estate III, the most innovative and progressive real estate company to enter the Virginia marketplace.  Frank became sole owner of the company in 1983 and proceeded to build it into the largest real estate firm in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley, with over 200 agents and annual sales in excess of $600 million.  Frank was a founding father of the Albemarle County Architectural Review Board, which was created to promote and insure orderly and attractive residential and commercial development in the area.  He was completely dedicated in his philosophy and in all his deliberations to think of his community and its inhabitants first.  Frank created a real estate company whose ethics and client devotion were at the highest level possible.  And that is Real Estate III.

In April, 2010, Real Estate III announced that it would franchise with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC.  This affiliation allows Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate’s network to expand into the Commonwealth, and increases their franchise numbers to more than 110 offices and 4,600 sales associates in 14 states.
